AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES CONSTITUTES ENTRANT’S FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES. THE SPONSOR’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND LEGALLY BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES.
The Burlington WOW Weekend Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on August 15, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on August 17, 2025 (the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”). The Sweepstakes Entry Period consists of one (1) Grand Prize Drawing and twenty-two (22) individual Second Prize Drawings.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is opened to legal residents of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia), age 18 and older at time of entry who visit a participating Burlington Store located in one the following states (or jurisdiction) during the Sweepstakes Entry Period: Arizona, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, and Virgina. Employees of Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse (the “Sponsor”), its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and any other individual or company involved in the development or execution of the Sweepstakes, and members of their immediate families (e.g., parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) of same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sweepstakes governed by U.S. law. Void where prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Entry Period, visit a participating Burlington store in one of the states mentioned in the “Eligibility” section of the Official Rules, scan the Sweepstakes QR code, and follow all onscreen directions to complete the Sweepstake entry form in its entirety, and submit. After you have submitted the entry form (“Entry”), your Entry will be included in the Grand Prize Drawing and in the state’s Second Prize Drawing for which your entry qualifies based on the state you selected from the state dropdown menu. Limit: one (1) entry per person/email address.
Any attempt by an Entrant to obtain more Entries than stipulated in these Official Rules by using multiple/different email accounts, identities, or any other methods will void that Entrant's Entries, and that Entrant will be disqualified. Use of scripts, macros, or any other automated system to participate or subvert the process is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of an identity dispute, Entry will be considered made by the registered holder or owner of the email address account used for entering the Sweepstakes. A potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized holder of the email account. Neither Sponsor nor Administrator is responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete or delayed Entries or responsible for a third party’s failure to act in accordance with Sponsor’s instructions pertaining to Sweepstakes implementation. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by the Sponsor. Online entrants subject to all notices posted at www.burlington.com including but not limited to its privacy policy. All Entries and requests become Sponsor’s property and will not be returned or acknowledged.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize: $10,000.00 to be awarded to the Grand Prize winner as a corporate check. Twenty-two (22) Second Prizes (1 prize awarded per state): One (1) $250.00 value Burlington Gift Card (“Gift Card”) will be awarded to each Second Prize winner. Each Gift Card prize will only be redeemable for purchases made at Burlington, Baby Depot and Cohoes and cannot be redeemed for the purchase of gift cards or as an adjustment to prior purchases. Gift Card may not be returned, redeemed for cash or used as payment on a Burlington credit card account or any other credit card account. No credit or cash given for any unused portion after Gift Card expires. Gift Card will not be replaced if lost or stolen. No prize substitutions are permitted. Prizes are not transferable and no substitution by any winner is permitted. Limit: one (1) Second Prize per household. Total ARV of all prizes: $15,500.00
ODDS: Odds of winning the Grand Prize will depend on the total number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. Odds of winning a Second Prize will depend on the number of eligible Entries received for each Second Prize Drawing.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: The potential Grand Prize winner and each Second Prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible Entries received for their respective drawings on or about August 21, 2025. All random drawings will be conducted by the Sweepstakes Administrator, an independent judging organization. The contact information (name, address, telephone number(s), and email address) provided by entrants at time of entry shall serve as the contact information of record in respect of all communications. Potential winners will be notified by email and may be required to complete and return: a) an Affidavit of Eligibility & a Liability/Publicity Release, and if necessary, b) an IRS W-9 Form (collectively these two forms are referred to hereafter as "Prize Documents") to the Sweepstakes Administrator within five (5) business days from the date of notification. Any prize won by an eligible minor will be awarded in the name of the minor’s parent or legal guardian who will be required to complete and return the Prize Documents on minor’s behalf. If a prize notification and/or any portion of the Prize Documents are returned as undeliverable, or if a winner cannot accept or receive the Prize for any reason, or he/she is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the corresponding prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, the forfeited prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing containing all non-winning eligible Entries received for corresponding drawing the disqualified Entry originated. At Sponsor’s discretion, if after three (3) winner notification attempts a winner is not confirmed, the corresponding prize will not be awarded. The Grand Prize winner will also be required to complete and return to the Sponsor or the Sweepstakes Administrator an IRS W-9 Form to comply with IRS tax reporting requirements for any prize valued at $600 or more. All fees, federal, state, local, sales and income taxes or other expenses relating to the use, acceptance and possession of prize are the sole responsibility of each winner. Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission for Sponsor and its agents and licensees to, at their discretion, contact and subsequently use each winner's name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video tape, photographs, and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.
LIABILITY RELEASE: Entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator and the Sponsor, and release the Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and any other individual or company involved in the development or execution of the Sweepstakes, as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each, from all claims and liability relating to their participation, acceptance, use, misuse of any prize. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize won. The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of prizes.
GENERAL: In the eventuality of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass Entries or Entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices or because of bulk e-mail or spamming of any sort are void. The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive Entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof; or (ii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) withdraw or cancel the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted, (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), and to select winner(s) from among all eligible Entries received prior to withdrawal. LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER OR VANDALIZE THIS WEB SITE OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant expressively waives and relinquishes all rights and benefits afforded by California Civil Code 1542 and does so understanding and acknowledge the significance of this waiver. Section 1542 states as follows: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DID NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN, BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR THE RELEASED PARTIES.”
